Who we are
Mayfair Studio is a trading name of DINGIR LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company no. 16645723 ("Mayfair Studio", "we", "our" or "us"). We are a London-based architectural and planning consultancy. We are the data controller for personal information we collect through this website and our services.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, email us at hello@mayfairstudio.co.uk.
What information we collect
When you use our planning checker, order a Pro Report, or contact us, we may collect:
- Name and contact details - your name, phone number and email address, so we can deliver your report and follow up with you.
- Property address - the address you enter so we can look up public planning records and constraints for that property.
- Project details - the type of project you're considering (extension, loft, change of use, development) and any description, listing URL or auction-lot reference you choose to share.
- Payment information - for Pro Report orders (£395), your card details are entered directly into Stripe's hosted Checkout page and processed by Stripe under their privacy policy. We never see or store full card numbers, CVV codes or expiry dates. We receive only a transaction reference, the amount paid, the last 4 digits of the card, and your billing name and email.
- Technical information - your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by standard website analytics.
Why we collect it
We only use your information for the following purposes:
- To run your free planning check and return a personalised report.
- To produce, review and deliver a Pro Report (£395 fixed-fee site planning report) for a specific property when you have ordered one.
- To contact you about the project you told us about, including sending a follow-up email or scheduling a call.
- To prepare a fixed-fee quote and, if you agree to work with us, to deliver the architectural service.
- To process payments, issue refunds where applicable, and meet our accounting and tax record-keeping obligations.
- To improve the accuracy of our planning checker using anonymised, aggregated data.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not pass it to third parties except the service providers listed below.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site:
- Supabase - stores our lead records and chat sessions in a secure Postgres database hosted in the EU.
- Vercel - hosts the website and logs request metadata.
- Ordnance Survey - provides the address lookup service (we send your address query, not your name).
- Anthropic (Claude) - generates the planning assessment text. We send the property address and project type, not your personal contact details.
- Resend - sends transactional emails on our behalf.
- Stripe Payments Europe Ltd - processes card payments for Pro Report orders. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for cardholder data and is subject to PCI DSS. See their privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep lead records for up to 3 years from your last interaction so our team can follow up and so we can answer any questions about work we've done. You can ask us to delete your data earlier - see "Your rights" below.
We retain payment and transaction records (Stripe session ID, amount paid, date, billing email) for a minimum of 6 years to comply with UK Companies Act 2006 and HMRC record-keeping requirements. We delete or anonymise other personal data attached to those orders on request.
Job applicants
If you apply for a role listed on our careers page, we collect the information you voluntarily send us by email - typically a CV, covering note, and contact details. We use this information only to assess your application and, if we invite you to interview, to organise the process.
The lawful basis for processing job applicant data is:
- Legitimate interests - assessing suitability for the role, with appropriate safeguards.
- Consent - if you ask us to keep your details on file for future openings.
We retain unsuccessful applicants' data for 6 months from the date of the decision, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If you are hired, your data becomes part of your employee record and is retained under our employment records policy.
We do not use automated decision-making or AI to screen or rank applicants.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Object to us using your information for any particular purpose.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@mayfairstudio.co.uk. We'll respond within 30 days.
